Camp in full swing and now more than ever, competition at some seriously important positions will take place. Let's have fun and look at some of them
QB: Grad vs Camp: Obviously, the early favorite is Campbell. He has been there, and has not had the injury. He is more accurate, more experienced, and costs the Raiders more on the payroll. Yes, salary does matter at this point. But Gradkowski has heart and fire, something you dont just pass by. Winner: Campbell-experience and accuracy are the keys, and that is enough RB: Bush vs McFadden: Bush is tougher, McFadden is faster. Bush burned out a few times last year, McFadden got dinged up. The new offensive coordinator wants a tough running game that puts teams on their heals, but McFadden can almost literally fly from the back field. Winner: Bush, but McFadden is certainly not going to ride the pine WR: Bey vs Schilens vs Higgins vs Murphy vs the unknown: Two will start, and the early money is on Schilens and Bey. Why Bey? Because of the Russell rule. Bey will be given every opportunity to play his way out of Oakland. Murphy is a curious option, but I see Schilens staying healthy enough to get the job, with Murphy off the bench. Ford will be a special teamer this year. Loser: Higgins Oline: Everybody: I expect the line to look like last year early on. Valdheer and Campbell will compete, but both need time to develop. That means Henderson and Gallery with Satele Cooper and Barnes. Everyone else will line up to try and take their spots Loser: The fans Dline: Fun group this year. Seymour, Houston, Cooper, Henderson, Kelly, Richardson, and Shaugnessy and Scott. Nice group of potentially dangerous players all vying for 4 spots. You know Seymour, Houston and probably Henderson will get serious play time, then it is all about who steps up Loser: Dare I say, opposing RBs? Sorry, just cannot help myself LBs: This one is easy. Brown, Groves, McClain, Wembley, Slade, Howard and our favorite will not get cut Sam I am Williams. McClain gets the center...finally a real MLB, with Wembley, Howard Groves and Brown getting the majority of the rotation. Loser: Teams that did not trade up to get McClain DB's: Aso, Johnson, Huff, Branch, Mitchell, McFadden and Routte. Everyone else is a rollplayer, everyone you see gets serious looks and a lot of playing time. Loser: This is Al Davis' team, there are no losers in the secondary on his teams....period

I dont think of Schillens being in the equation until he is healthy which may be never.Way over hyped by fans.He is a 7th rounder who looks the part but has done very little.I wish we had a vet i the mix.O line is the scary part.We will have the same group as last year to start. We picked up some nice pieces for the long haul but for now its more of the same.Hopefully they are all healthy, that will help.QB there is no question and never was.Campbell was brought in to play and Grads is hurt .Grads is a perfect backup IMO
